The Association contracts Komp Horticultural Services to perform landscape services to Common Areas. The Association continues to see marked improvement in landscaping throughout the Community. The Association’s Landscape Committee negotiated a contract which added a third Color change each year, monthly irrigation inspections, mowing of the esplanade on Westpark, mowing of the HL&P easement in the east part of the Community, and a full time porter. These services were added to previous contract specifications at a lower cost than previous years contracts.
Komp Horticultural changes out mulch and seasonal color three times each year. The Association’s Landscape Committee works with the contractor on specific Color and style of planting. Additional services Komp Horticultural performs include, mowing, edging, weeding, aeration, dethatching, fertilization, fungicide, insecticide, pruning, fire ant control and debris removal.
Early in November the Community over-seeds with Rye grass. Deed Restrictions require all owners to over-seed their yards as well. The Association will be sending out reminder notices in September and October of each year. Additionally, the Association's Deed Restriction Committee will be instituting strict enforcement procedures for owners failing to comply with the Rye grass over-seeding requirement.
